In high school I was the drama club historian, taking candid shots of my fellow thespians and documenting each event and performance with elaborate detail. I should have known then that I would go into photography. Instead, I studied acting at Marymount Manhattan College and later taught theatre for five years in Miami. When I finally ran away to join the circus, I was disappointed to find out that Charlotte didn’t have one. So, now I make pictures. It’s kind of like being the drama club historian – only different.
What should you know about me? I use my camera to tell the remarkable story on the other side of the lens. Although I take photography seriously, I am pretty silly and love to laugh. Life fascinates me, especially after a yoga class and Starbucks doppio with cold milk to the top. My belief is that having a picture taken should be a fun experience and that your picture should reflect who you are. I work to make that happen. Now smile, without saying “cheeeeeeeese”.
